Make your life eventful! Join the Fraser Coast Events Team 
Recruiting Now! Energetic volunteers of all ages are invited to apply to join our brand new Fraser Coast Events crew to become ambassadors for the Fraser Coast’s dynamic, and world famous regional events. The Fraser Coast’s four major regional events - the World’s Greatest Pub Fest, Mary Poppins Festival, the Hervey Bay Whale Festival and the Maryborough Technology Challenge are promoted nationally as the Fantastic Four.
Volunteers joining the Fraser Coast Events Crew will assist in the promotion of events throughout our community and will be part of the on-the- ground team at each of the events.
Successful applicants need to be outgoing, enthusiastic, reliable and team players who were passionate about events and our region. You will be responsible ambassador of Fraser Coast Events, representing Council and the community at our much loved events.
The role will sometimes be very hands on, so a strong willingness to get your hands dirty is essential!” she said.
By joining the Fraser Coast Events Team you will become part of a fun, dynamic team. Other incentives include team shirts and hats, training and skill upgrading, and the opportunity to attend free ‘familiarisation’ visits to Fraser Coast tourism attractions.”

Fraser Coast Events
Volunteers can choose to be involved with just one event, or as many events as they wish, including becoming a volunteer at Maryborough Heritage Markets each Thursday or helping with Festive Fraser Coast events at Christmas time.

PROMOTIONS
Event Market Day Promotions- Arranged in the lead up to each event
Flyer and poster delivery- Arranged in the lead up to each event.
Responsibilities
- Proudly wear the Fraser Coast Events uniform
- Represent Fraser Coast Regional Council at our regional events as part of the Fraser Coast Events Crew interacting with the general public
- Maintaining the enthusiastic and upbeat energy of the Fraser Coast Events Crew
- Willing and available to attend team briefings, professional training and site visits in accordance with the Volunteer Coordinator
- Assist with event set-up and pack down as well as coordinating certain activities such as kids games, regional promotion, customer service and market research at a number of Fraser Coast calendar events
- Perform set up and pack down of promotional equipment at events i.e marquees, tables, banners and sponsor signage
- Willingness to develop an in-depth knowledge of our Fraser Coast events to ensure quality customer service at our events
- Restocking the promo box at the completion of each event
- Ready and available to work a variety of shifts including some evenings, weekends and holidays
- Maintain a professional attitude and presence
Skills required include:
- Possess a valid manual drivers licence and a safe driving record (not essential)
- Fast learner
- Reliable, punctual and presentable
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment
- Reasonable level of fitness
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills
- Fun, enthusiastic and friendly
- Passion for representing our fantastic region
